Governor CV Anand Bose celebrated 'West Bengal Day' at Raj Bhavan, ignoring the request of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The program took place despite Mamata Banerjee's request to cancel it. The Trinamool Congress criticized the Governor, stating that he does not have the moral right to remain in his post. However, the BJP expressed satisfaction with the celebration of 'West Bengal Day' and Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari praised the Governor.

The ongoing conflict between the Governor and the state government has further intensified with this event.
